We spent all day today pushing our little photo printer to the max (it goes up to 11!) to get all the prints made, and they're beautiful! Look for us in front of the Cole Garage, next to the fabulous Superhero Designs, rain or shine. We'll have lots of prints, calendars, cards, buttons, and stickers for sale. Don't miss this, San Franciscans - it's gonna be a blast.

I'm working on a Web photo project capturing different folks' views of the people in their neighborhood by having people take pictures of their neighbors holding up the words to the old Sesame Street song, "These Are the People in My Neighborhood."

I started the project back in 1994 when I was living in Nob Hill and haven't taken the time to do one for Cole Valley. But you can! Download and print out the the words at <http://vsgoliath.com/neighborhood> and start snapping. If we get enough good ones, I might propose a gallery showing at Reverie.

Please feel free to spread the word. And if there's anyone in the neighborhood who knows Web infrasturcture and would like to help me automate the site, please let me know.

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting more of you soon.

What's the point in having a neighborhood tribe if nobody talks? I'd have better luck corresponding with someone in Kansas.

My impression not just with this Tribe is that very localized Tribes don't have the critical mass to make things happen. Or maybe it is just a function of Tribe not having enough critical mass because you still have so many other vehicles to do this sort of thing (i.e., Fiendster).

I guess what I'm getting at is that Tribe seems to be doing a great job at bringing people together with similar interests. But it doesn't seem to be bringing people together with similar geographies.

Thoughts? Or should I answer my own posting again (tongue in cheek mind you).
